Purpose-built scope
Smartic focuses on supported YouTube experiences needed for recommendations—not your entire browsing life.
Practical safeguards for a product that helps you learn faster—built with privacy and restraint in mind.
Security at Smartic starts with respect for your attention and your data. We design the product to help you choose better YouTube videos—without turning Smartic into a surveillance tool.
Smartic focuses on supported YouTube experiences needed for recommendations—not your entire browsing life.
We explain what we collect and why on our Privacy and Data Practices pages—so security isn’t a black box.
We aim to collect only what is reasonably necessary to authenticate you, deliver recommendations, operate plans and limits, improve reliability, and support you when you reach out.
Less unnecessary data means a smaller security surface—and a clearer product.
Smartic uses Google Sign-In so you don’t create a separate Smartic password. Authentication helps protect your account, preferences, and usage history from unauthorized access.
You can sign out at any time from the extension.
Where applicable, Smartic uses HTTPS/TLS so information sent between your browser/extension and our services is protected in transit using widely adopted industry practices.
Access to user information is limited to people and systems that need it to operate, support, or secure Smartic. Where applicable, we use role-based access controls and least-privilege principles so sensitive access is not open by default.
We review reliability and security signals over time—such as unusual errors or access patterns—to help keep Smartic stable and safe. We update the extension and services as we learn and as the platforms we rely on evolve.
